Requests and a general inquiry

I thought since the blog discussions were going stale, I'd post this just to revive it a little and to take any special requests for tomorrow's pizza night. If anyone's allergic to any particular topping or has a craving for anything in particular, respond to this with your likes/dislikes (I'm getting 5 larges from Papa John's). Drinks are going to be up to you to bring, since the pizza is breaking my allotted budget for the class and then some.

Also, is everyone doing well with the research paper? I've had a couple of emails on general problems/issues, and if you're still having difficulties on this-and-that, now's the time to get those pesky *little* qualms out of the way... Just respond to this on the blog discussions (if you think everyone can benefit from it) or send an email my way. Either way is fine.

Hello Professor Jennings;

As for my favorite toppings on pizza, I could go for Sausage or ham. Even a meat lovers would be fine.

Ooh Papa Johns! If you order online, you can use these coupon codes to get free pizzas. I use them all the time. Since you are doing a big order, I’m no sure how many coupon codes you can enter per order. But, maybe you can do two separate orders and use two coupon codes?

Here are the deals I found online (just search under “Papa Johns coupon code.)
1. Buy 1 X-large specialty pizza, get one free CODE: PIZZA2
2. Get a second large pizza for $0.99 when order a large pizza CODE: BBONLINE
3. Buy 1 XL specialty pizza get 1 LG 1 topping pizza free CODE: xbox
4. 2 large 2 toppings pizza for $20 CODE:52207

My request is no black olives but I can pick them off. And I love fresh tomatoes on mine.

For me...anything but anchovies. And I love pepperoni & bell peppers.

Pizza will certainly make grammer review a lot more fun =)

While i will be satisfied with just about any toppings, pinapple and hamburger is awsome on a pizza, and pepperoni is a clasic. Thank you very much for making the grammar review fun with food! =D

Thanks for the codes, Khim! I'll actually try them out (I've a Papa John's online account).

WOW i did not know that Popa Johns had free pizza sodes. Thats so cool.

As for the pizza, First let me say thank you and you rock! I am a simple person and can pick off anything that I won't each. pepperoni is my Favorite!

As for the research paper, it is going much better now that I had my classmate read through it and give me pointers. I was alittle neverous about that at first but i think it really helped me.

I do a lot of ordering of things online. It is always a good idea to do a search for free shipping or other coupons may be availble. For example, Amazon usually has lots of coupons. I've gotten lots of free stuff online with my orders and saved a bundle on shipping charges. If it's out there, why not use it?

i am a veggies lover myself but as some had stated befroe whatever i don't like i will just pick off. Also, I think it is so cool that you are doing this for our class i am very thankful. As for my research paper i am not worried at all because after i had it read in the tlcc by an englidh professor i feel very confident about my paper!

Pizza is pizza. Any toppings is fine, but flex points are few and far betweeen this week! As far as the paper, the group help last week helped me a lot! Thanks to Mark and Trinell!!

I think it is funny that I was on the blogs last night and even posted a comment to the Great Debate blog at 10:45 PM eastern time but I didn't notice this blog at all.
Thanks again for the pizza. As I said in class tonight, I've never had a teacher do anything like this for a class - thanks for doing the paperwork. :o)

I'm glad I was able to do this for you all (it's not very often, and it's a teeny bit rebellious/anti-establishment...we're not supposed to eat in the classrooms). Again, if anyone has any last-minute, quick questions regarding specific grammar problems before Thurs, email me. We obviously didn't cover everything tonight -- our language rules and guidelines are seemingly never-ending!

Thanks for the pizza!

Khimc, thanks for the pizza codes. Granted the healthier-eating lifestyle I'm trying to adapt hinders my eating of pizza as much as I would like BUT I will keep them in mind.

Ms. Jennings thanks for ordering a veggie pizza. It’s the first time I've ever had it. Not bad. Not as fab as anything with meat but not as boring as just cheese. The game was enjoyable. I'm not very visual so I found some of the question a little difficult without having something to look at, but my team was VERY helpful. :)

Thank you for the pizza!! I had the one w/ fresh tomatoes. What kind is that? I would like to get that again, it was very yummy.

Kelly, you can add fresh tomatoes to any pizza you order at Papa Johns. I always have fresh tomatoes on my pizza!

Fresh tomatoes on a pizza -- yuhhh-ummm. Kelly, it's the garden fresh pizza, the veggie one, but Khim's right...just request tomatoes as a topping!

Ms. Jennings and Khim, thank you for the info!! I know what my husband and I will be having for dinner Friday night!!

Also, Ms. Jennings, thanks for making the class so interesting, it really helped bring me out of my "shell". I appreciate that!
